SENS Lobby
Sens Hotel Lobby Transformation: A Japandi-Inspired Redesign
We had the privilege of collaborating with the Sens Hotel team during their transition from a Le Meridien franchise to an independent boutique hotel, creating a fresh and unique identity for the brand. The challenge was to achieve this transformation without undertaking major renovations.
Key Design Highlights:
Revitalizing Existing Features
The original dark wood paneling was given a modern, light finish using white oak architectural film, instantly brightening the lobby and aligning with the Japandi style’s neutral tones and clean lines.
Existing furniture was reupholstered to give it a fresh, cohesive look, complementing the new design.
Textural Updates
Walls were updated with textured wallpaper, softening the space while adding subtle visual interest.
The reception area’s back wall was completely refinished, featuring a custom moss wall with the hotel’s logo, creating a striking focal point that embodies nature and serenity.
Biophilic Touches
Real plants and greenery were strategically placed throughout the space, bringing life and warmth to the lobby while enhancing its tranquil, natural ambiance.
Decor and Styling
Carefully selected decor and accessories brought personality and charm to the space, reinforcing the hotel's new identity while keeping it inviting and functional.
This transformation demonstrates how thoughtful design solutions and strategic updates can redefine a space without major construction. By embracing Japandi’s clean, minimalist aesthetic and incorporating natural elements, we’ve created a lobby that embodies Sens Hotel’s new identity—a stylish, independent retreat that welcomes every guest with a sense of calm and sophistication.
